A Vision for Revitalization
Our vision is to redevelop this core area by creating a vibrant, transit-oriented, mixed-use community that will help to spark revitalization throughout Wheaton’s New Downtown.
We are a proven and experienced real estate development team led by the B.F. Saul Company that was recently selected by Montgomery County and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to redevelop several key properties located on and adjacent to the Wheaton Metro Station. Moving Forward with Community Involvement
Over the next several months, we’ll be seeking feedback on what local residents and businesses would like to see in Wheaton’s New Downtown. We know that County and Wheaton residents and community leaders have been working toward revitalization of the downtown for several years. We look to learn from the ideas and discussions that have already taken place, as we craft a fresh vision that will ensure we are capitalizing on downtown Wheaton’s unique strengths and assets.
From now through the spring, the Saul Team will be meeting with various community organizations, civic associations, and business and multicultural groups. Your feedback is important to us, so please let us know your thoughts!
Based on what we learn from these meetings and a rigorous analysis of Wheaton’s real estate market potential, the Saul Team will prepare a concept plan that will be presented to the community in Spring 2011.
